“The quickest way to reach the point of success is to follow a straight line that carves through failure.” – Josh Traeger
How do people like Nelson Mandela, who spent 27 years in prison, Abraham Lincoln who was defeated in eight consecutive elections, and Steve Jobs who was fired by his own company, achieve such extraordinary successes after their downfalls?
Success can be hard to achieve. The roads to success are not always straight and they need to be taken step by step with enthusiasm and patience. In my own road to success I tried to remind myself the following pointers:
- First, take responsibility for who you are and the results of your actions.
- Second, accept your weaknesses and shortcomings, and use them as strengths.
- Third, if you fall down, move quickly and rise again. Don’t look back and always keep going.
