Are you happy? This question is often asked by colleagues, friends and family.
Unhappiness comes when we are unable to enjoy what we do. One is often so afraid of being blamed, criticized, rejected or not fulfilling the expectations, that we dwell stagnant in the past, controlled by the need to impress others. If we refrain from trying new things, we can exclude ourselves from society and be locked in a box of unhappiness.
I came to the realization that one often wastes time and energy in trying to please others. I want people to be happy but I often forget about myself, I am not who I really want to be. If I always listen to other people I will never know the extend of my capabilities. I am not saying one should be indifferent or accept no advice, but that it is important to be true to yourself, discover your talent and take advantage of your abilities.
It is time to get rid the pessimism. Try every opportunity that life can throw at you. Be adventurous, do your best, do it for yourself, not to impress other people. Live life to the fullest by doing the things you love and enjoy every minute of it. I challenge you to believe in yourself and be happy.
