Psalms, chapter 103

Jesus cares for you.His mercy and love keep us alive and provides.

Our Bible reading for today is from Psalms 103, the verse of reference in  is:

“Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits (Psalms 103:2 NIV).

Remove from Psalm 103, five reasons why we should be thankful to God.

Historical commentary. – Psalm 103 is a hymn that has been described as “one of the best flowers in tree of biblical faith.” The psalmist relates his personal experience with God His understanding about faith that came from his long and rich understanding of the Pentateuch and the Prophets. This Psalm makes a dual emphasis on reverence for the greatness and holiness of God and surrender to the mercy and love of God.

This Psalm can give us five reasons which motivated me to praise God for what He does in our favor. I encourage you praise God according to the blessings he has given you.

1. Forgive all our sins (verse 3a). – This is one of the main reasons why we should be thankful to God. Read Micah 7:19 and say thank you Lord.

2. Healthy our diseases (verse 3b). – As Christ healed the woman with blood flow, Simon the leper, Syrophoenician’s daughter, and many more, He is ready to do the same in our lives.

3. We are blessed with material goods (verse 5). God makes us remember: “But remember the Lord your God, for He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as at this day” (Deuteronomy 8:18).

4. He is merciful and gracious . – Undoubtedly, mercy is the main reason why we continue with life. Moses said: The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in goodness and truth (Exodus 34:6).

5. His love is unlimited (verse 11). – sing this wonderful hymn of gratitude: “Oh your immense love of God, man can not tell, nor understand the great truth, that God could love man …

God of love and mercy. We recognize that your love and mercy is abundant, for that we say: thank you very much, you are a wonderful God. We pray that your cares are continuous for all who trust in you. In the name of Jesus, amen.
